Community

Angus Energy is guided by the following principles:

  • Open and honest dialogue with stakeholders.
  • Engagement during all stages of development.
  • Proactively address local concerns.
  • Actively minimise the impact on our neighbours.
  • Adherence to a strict ethics code of conduct.

Community Engagement

Angus Energy is committed to engaging positively and responsibly with communities around its key operational sites in order to contribute to their well-being and foster strong relations.

Our key onshore gas field is in the Lincolnshire village of Saltfleetby and we have recently had the opportunity to forge a close relationship with the Soloby Events Committee, by sponsoring their frequent events and dinners for Saltfleetby residents. This is a very popular way of people in the village coming together, especially if they are living alone, and attendance has been growing steadily.

Christmas 2023 was a focal point with 91 dinners served and Father Christmas being welcomed with great enthusiasm by the children of Saltfleetby. Further very well-received events have followed in its wake. An Easter dinner was held in 2024 with free Easter eggs and raffle tickets for all, while September saw the annual scarecrow festival and fun day. Proceeds from the raffle went to two important local charities – Lincs Age UK and Saltfleetby Play Park Fund. In the winter months, there is a fortnightly ‘Warm Welcome’ initiative which helps to keep the community together.

We are delighted to continue to sponsor the events committee and to enjoy such a warm relationship with the Saltfleetby community.

To provide an even balance of risk management and liabilities between Angus and our suppliers in the activities we need, Angus subscribe to the LOGIC standard contract texts developed jointly between UK energy operators and suppliers over many years, and have developed a standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions that are our default terms of business, based on LOGIC principles.
