With the global finance sorted, can you please confirm what the priorities will be for the board for 2024?

Asked on 1 February 2024

Petroineos Grangemouth asset – change from refinery to oil and gas terminal.
Opportunity – buy out petrochina or Ineos from the JV and take a stake in operations at Grangemouth. Would this be an option for Angus Energy?

Asked on 1 February 2024

Given the currently lower than expected price/therm, during a period where traditionally rates are considerably higher than those in the summer months, do you have any concerns with the partial unwinding of the hedge for Q3/4 2024.

Asked on 1 February 2024

What progress has been made on debt negotiation and when can we expect this to conclude?

Asked on 3 January 2024

What is the latest on firstly the Storage partner and project plan? Secondly the global refinancing?

Asked on 3 January 2024

Hi, Congratulations on securing the global refinance package which I’m sure is a big relief! The latest line from the doom merchants on the chat forums is that pretty much every penny earned from Saltfleetby will go to paying off debt.
So my question is, will this package still offer considerable upside to Angus in terms of income generation in addition to debt repayment? Thanks

Asked on 3 January 2024

Hi, As a shareholder, I would just like to say thanks for the monthly Q&A at the end of each month. I find the opportunity invaluable, as I know most shareholders do, as it gives us the opportunity to ask questions not necessarily covered by a RNS. It also gives the company the chance to respond to the chat forum merchants and explain background strategy etc.
In addition to this, it would be good if the CEO became a more frequent interviewee, as it helps spread the word and increase exposure. Is this something he will consider? Thank you and Happy New Year.

Asked on 3 January 2024

Could company taking into consideration current debt levels, shares oustanding and predicted value of saltfleetby gas field only where it expects share price to be 1 year, 2 years and 5 years from now. Share price has fallen 70 over the last year and there has been heavy dilution of current investors. Should current investors cut their losses or is this the basement level and things will only improve from now on?

Asked on 3 January 2024

Hello, can I ask how progress is coming along at fine tuning the 3 wells since introducing the permanent pipeline at Saltfleetby? Daily production figures seem a bit more stable than last month, but still at slightly lower levels than before the permanent pipeline was installed. Do you expect production numbers to increase over time as you continue to fine tune? Thank you

Asked on 3 January 2024

Hi, does the new global refinancing mean that the previously talked about dividend to shareholders is now off the table in 2024? Thanks

Asked on 3 January 2024

The current share price performance is dire. How do the BOD plan to increase the mcap and improve sentiment that is currently rock bottom?

Asked on 3 January 2024

A takeover by Kemexon must surely be in the back of the boards minds, a further conversion of shares would result in a mandatory offer for the company. Are the board conscious of a potential cheap offer?

Asked on 3 January 2024

Hi, how are talks progressing with the potentially interested partners regarding storage at Saltfleetby? Would you say you are close to striking any deals? Thank you

Asked on 30 November 2023

Would you consider using twitter more, other O&G companies engage with shareholders this way, this could help improve investor relations and confidence and could be used to relay factual information and counter some of the unfactual info on bulletin boards

Asked on 30 November 2023

What is causing the lower than expected output seen since the new sidetrack was permanently hooked up, is it a result of still seeing high levels of contaminants through the plant?

Asked on 30 November 2023

Will the company look to release a cashflow forecast detailing gas sales, opex, debt, royalty and capex commitments for the next 2,3,5 years? This would be appreciated as there are a lot of arm chair CEO’s voicing there options on cash inflows / outflows over short and medium term.

Asked on 30 November 2023

Gentlemen,
Since you first announced you were seeking a global refinance facility of $25m £20m, the £3m bridge facility has been equitised.
Has the amount of the global refinance facility you seek remained unchanged?
Best wishes to you all.

Asked on 30 November 2023

Although the gas price at the time of writing remains just above 100p, it is perhaps not at the very high prices that many of us expected at this time of year, not least because Europe appears fully stocked following the panic buying last year.
Where does the company see gas prices heading over the next 12-18 months? Thanks

Asked on 30 November 2023

If the gas price hypothetically rose from where we are today circa 130p to 200p and sustained this price through the winter months, what impact would that have on Angus’s cash and debt position?
It can be quite confusing for shareholders to work out exactly what impact a sustained gas price rise would have on Angus given the company’s debt position. Thanks

Asked on 31 October 2023

Hi, when will Angus be able to use the accumulated Tax Credits to their advantage, thanks in advance.

Asked on 31 October 2023

Now Balcombe has been approved please can you outline next steps and timeline for testing and what is the longer term plans for the site. Thanks

Asked on 31 October 2023

Long term shareholders like myself are rightly so concerned that Angus Energy will not only approve the 500m new shares in lieu of the £3m loan to Kemexon but also then approve the £6m loan into conversion of yet more shares taking the total shares in play to approx 5 billion. This will be done after many an RNS and correspondence stating any future share dilution will not take place at ANGS and the £2million pound monthly gross revenue from SFBY will cover all outstanding debt obligations.

Could the BOD please explain to your shareholders what your plan is regarding paying down your upcoming £6m debt from either the gross revenue or the new global finance agreement.

For improved investor confidence we need you to confirm exactly what your new stance on future dilution of the SP by issue of more shares to cover debt will be.

I hope you answer these questions as your long term shareholders are suffering and while these questions are tough they are fair and deserve a responce from the board

Asked on 31 October 2023

As a long standing shareholder in ANGS I would like some reassurance from management that there is ZERO intention of allowing this company to be taken private to the financial detriment of private investors like myself, as happened to another of my holdings HUR under suspiciously similar circumstances: i.e: share price collapse, funding difficulties, major shareholder dissatisfaction, cheap takeover.

Asked on 2 October 2023

How much debt is left to pay off the hedge ?

Asked on 1 September 2023

Hi, when all three wells first went into production the rates were initially combined at around 9.5mmscf for several weeks. Now the daily figure seems to be averaging around 8.5mmscf. Is there a reason for this drop and what if anything can be done to increase production levels? Thanks

Asked on 1 September 2023

There were a number of questions on broader strategy this month, collated here:

Is the company actively seeking new assets / projects and if so what is the plan to fund these?

Will there be a review of all Angus assets with legacy ones now deemed non core or not profitable disposed of?

What are key items of focus for management now that the sidetrack is done?

Will there be a re-organisation / streamlining of senior management / directors now that Richard has been in place for a few months and seen how the company is operating?

Asked on 1 September 2023

Hi, the share price is the lowest it has been in a year. What are the realistic expectations of the new CEO for the winter months, for where the share price should be?

Asked on 1 September 2023

Hello, another month goes by of complete radio silence by the new CEO Richard Herbert. He mentioned in his only interview that each of his past employers has been smaller in size than the last. With this in mind, does he understand the importance of shareholder communication on AIM, where sentiment and getting the message out there is of paramount importance? Is he planning on any further interviews? Thanks

Asked on 1 September 2023

Are you still planning on commissioning a revised CPR at Saltfleetby? Thank you

Asked on 1 August 2023

Is the B7 well continuing to clean up as expected? Is the flow improving at all over time as it cleans up? Thank you

Asked on 1 August 2023

Hello, There has been little said about drilling the southern side of the field at Saltfleetby in recent months. Is this still part of the companies’ plans? Thanks

Asked on 1 August 2023

When will the new pipeline be installed and will this require a halt in production? Thanks

Asked on 1 August 2023

Hi, The share price is down approx 35 since the new CEO Richard Herbert took over. Shareholder confidence is very low. It seems to be one confusing re-financing and mega expensive debt after another that the average shareholder just can’t get their head round. Where is all the revenue going? I’m sure he has a plan but he has yet to communicate it to shareholders. He rarely bothers to even comment at the end of RNS’s. Is he planning any more interviews to communicate the strategy in the short term? Thank you.

Asked on 1 August 2023

The new CEO talked enthusiastically in his only interview about wanting to buy shares in the company, and that he would encourage senior management and other board members to do the same. Since then it would appear that not a single share has been bought which no doubt impacts on shareholder confidence. Is there a reason for this and does he still intend to buy shares in the future? Thanks

Asked on 1 August 2023

Long term share holders are suffering with the current SP-MCAP and in RNS Number : 1232G this comment below was made.

Interest has been expressed by three major integrated gas players in long-term gas storage at Saltfleetby.

Please could the BOD elaborate with further details to help appease the private investors

Asked on 1 August 2023

Approximately what are the company running costs per month, a well known company detractor has suggested circa £800k a month!
pls confirm if this is correct

Asked on 1 August 2023

Thank you guys for the hard work your doing bringing ANGS Energy forward. In a previous RNS ANGS Energy was quoted as producing 160 barrels of Condy per 100,000 therms of Gas approx.

Does the approx figure of 160b per 100k still stand as a steady and stable figure ??

Whilst the revenue for Condy is as GL said a nice problem to have. Is producing Condy seen as a good or bad thing to ANGS Energy ??

Finally could you give your shareholders revenue figures for the Condy produced in both June and June 2023.

Asked on 1 August 2023

Thanks for the clarity in your last RNS, can you confirm what sort of annual revenue the storage could add to Angus’ income?

Asked on 1 August 2023

In the Interim Results RNS of 30.03.2023, it has been mentioned that further planning permission is being sought. Does this mean all development on Slatfleetby is on hold until that process is complete?

Asked on 31 July 2023

With the recent problems with the performance of the second compressor engine, resulting in nearly 2 weeks of reduced revenue estimated in the hundreds of thousands of pounds, would it not be worth investing in a third compressor as a back up? It will be needed eventually and the company can not afford to miss more output targets, especially during the lucrative winter period and with a debt pile to service.

Asked on 31 July 2023

Shareholders, certainly this one, were rather surprised to find out that another derivative payment is due, this time for £3.5 million. It follows on from a £3.3 million payment in December/January that was described at the time as being expected to satisfy the majority if not all of the earlier closed hedges. What assurances can the company give that there are not going to be any more derivative payments, especially given that the last three quarterly production updates have each made the point that production has exceeded the hedge?

Asked on 31 July 2023

Given that shareholders have been repeatedly told that Aleph are long term strategic shareholders, have they given any reason or been asked to give any reason for disposing of their 7.71 interest or at least 4.72 of it earlier this week? If so, what it is? If not, why does Angus believe they sold?

Asked on 31 July 2023

A cash flow estimate based on the Interim Accounts Mar 2023 and RNS of 03.07.2023 suggest that ANGS will not have sufficient funds to meet its obligations by the end of Q4 2023, perhaps earlier. How does management plan to address this matter?

Asked on 31 July 2023

In a presentation from a previous year, it was mentioned that there are plans for a second sidetrack.
1. Is this still the case?
2. If so, does ANGS have all the necessary permissions in place?
3. How do you plan to fund it?

Asked on 31 July 2023

Compared to the initial anticipated flow rates and gas production projected over the next few years from Saltfleetby, do you think these targets may not be reached as first thought? In other words, the projected targets are now lower than anticipated?

Asked on 31 July 2023

Why does a newly acquired compressor 2nd need such levels of maintenance given the previously acquired compressor 1st did not?

Asked on 31 July 2023

Hi, Your Share Price is now around 1.1p which is around the worst it has ever been yet we are producing good solid returns from SFB in Condy & Gas.

Whilst I assume the BOD are as unhappy about this as the long term shareholders are collectively we would like to know what your plan of attack is from the BOD to help recover or boost the SP – MCAP to where we all expect this to be today.

Thanks

Asked on 2 July 2023

A question was asked in the last Q&A, end of May, relating to the causes of inconsistent flow readings. In the answer, there was reference to a third compressor being settled in. Just to clarify, do you mean the third Well or there is a third compressor? Thank you.

Asked on 2 July 2023

Hi, Why have flow rates been lower at Saltfleetby since the reported annual maintenance last week? Thanks

Asked on 2 July 2023

What was the reasoning behind obtaining more of the short term debt funding at a high interest rate, surely now you are producing a decent cash flow a more favourable option could gave been sought?

Asked on 2 July 2023

Hi, Is the new well continuing to clean up to the company’s satisfaction and when will the new permanent flowline at Saltfleetby be operational? Thanks

Asked on 2 July 2023

Are management/directors now free to buy shares in the company once the Interim Results are reported on 30th June? Thank you

Asked on 2 July 2023

Now the site appears to be in stable production can you confirm what the condensate figures are now?

Asked on 2 July 2023

Recent updates from Angus Energy have been very positive. However, at the same time, we have seen the share price fall considerably. Do you think this is due to multiple reasons, such as lower wholesale gas prices, lack of big investors?

Asked on 2 July 2023

With production now approaching a stable plateau, Angus management is now able to deploy time and resources to monetising its other oil asset, developing a long-term transition storage capability at Saltfleetby, progressing its geothermal programme and exploring other strategic opportunities. RNS of 02/05

Congratulations to you all on approaching a stable plateau at Saltfleetby!

Amongst your other projects, can you provide any indications concerning your order of priorities and near-term programme?

Thank you.

Asked on 31 May 2023

Hi, Since the most recent LSE interview, have any of senior management purchased shares in the company? Are senior management in a closed period? Thanks

Asked on 31 May 2023

Has the share price reaction surprised the company? What in your view is causing this?

Asked on 31 May 2023

What is the cause of the current inconsistent flow readings, is the well cleaning up as expected or are you experiencing increased waste liquids? Are Works to the permanent pipeline causing stoppages? Are you experiencing tripping similar to when the initial wells were brought online?

Asked on 31 May 2023

Given the hard fought success of the sidetrack, do the lessons learnt open up more side track possibilities for other wells or close them out given the difficulty/cost?

Asked on 31 May 2023

Hi, Does the company have plans to increase it’s PR over the coming weeks, particularly as we have a new CEO? Some months ago, the company was rightly praised for its communication, offering regular interviews by George Lucan along with frequent twitter updates. Since then it has almost been radio silence. Is this a conscious decision and if so why? Thank you

Hello, are there still plans to reward loyal shareholders with a dividend payment by year end? Thank you.

Asked on 30 April 2023

Was it always the plan for a new well flowline to be constructed after testing at Saltfleetby? Thanks

Asked on 30 April 2023

We have had a great many questions on the RNS of March 28th, April 7th and April 18th and the status of the temporary and permanent flowlines connecting the new B7T well to the process plant and so to export sales.  Rather than repeat all of the questions we have endeavoured to supply a single answer to all as below.

Asked on 30 April 2023

Hello, you stated in your RNS of 18th April that you expected the new well to clean up further and that this is likely to raise the flow rate in the future.
Can I ask what management expectations are of what that flow rate is expected/hoped to be?
Having now completed the multi-rate flow test, can I also ask what management expectations are now of the 3 wells combined when plateau production occurs in the summer with the new well flowline? Thank you.

Asked on 30 April 2023

What specifically/technically gives management confidence that the flow of the new well will improve with further clean up, is it normal to take this amount of time and how much improvement can be reasonably expected? Thanks

Asked on 30 April 2023

from the RNS of 30 September 2022 it stated
‘The side track is expected to be spudded around 20th October with drilling operations expected to have a duration of no more than 35 days excluding well clean up and completion work’

what are the lessons learnt, which will be taken into the next sidetrack?

Asked on 30 April 2023

How quickly will you know the well performance from SF07V at Saltfleetby?

Asked on 1 April 2023

Asked on 31 January 2023

There appears to be anomaly on the NTS Physical Entry End Of Day NTSEOD Gas Day: 13/01/2023. Saltfleetby has a System Entry Volume, EOD mscm posted of 21.42800 L.

This is higher by a factor of 20 than the usual daily output. Is this an incorrect submission or an adjustment to previously posted daily submissions?

Asked on 31 January 2023

Hello, can you explain in more detail the reason for the change of plan regarding the sidetrack at Saltfleetby please?
The related RNS was short and vague which wasnt helpful to loyal shareholders.
We end up having to read between the lines and terms like avoiding difficult fracture zone on your infographic on Twitter is all we have to go on.
A full explanation and reasons for the new drilling strategy moving forward would be very helpful and greatly improve communication. Thank you.

Asked on 1 November 2022

When will the company buy AAOG with £42m tax loss allowance and will you expect problems from the chancellor with any new revised fiscal policy.

Asked on 1 November 2022

Hello, With increasing flow rates and spud imminent the share price should be much higher. Market still waiting for actual confirmation that flow rates exceed hedge and that excess is being sold at market rate. Is it therefore not possible to announce revenue received since first gas – the fact that theses figures are not being shouted from the rooftops puts doubts as to whether this in fact the case. Announcing this as the same time as confirming spud as well as news of the second Compressor should surely send the share price skywards.
Kind Regards Stuart Smith

Asked on 1 November 2022

Thanks

Dave

Asked on 30 October 2022

Can you please confirm the seasonal working hours over the Christmas period at Saltfleetby. For instance, will the company be producing gas on Christmas Day or is there a period of closure? Thank you.

Asked on 30 October 2022

I know previously you indicated that ANGS will provide quarterly revenue report.

However, I strongly suggest that at least for the first 6 months, ANGS should provide monthly revenue report. This will help bring further positive shareholder sentiment.

Next 6 month also vital as we are passing the period of sidetrack and winter where gas price expected to rise further. as such, I am sure majority shareholders will be happy if ANGS able to provide a monthly revenue report.

UK government recently announced new Investment Allowance/Tax relief

The new … Investment Allowance will mean businesses will overall get a 91 pence tax saving for every 1 pound they invest, the Treasury said.

can you confirm that ANGS will benefit from this as well, ie perhaps ANGS can get tax relief to recover the cost of sidetrack drilling and future operations?

Give the lessons learned and valuable experience gained from SFB, would the Board consider farming into or acquiring UKOGs Loxley gas asset? Hi, If the best offer on the table as a result of the FSP is not considered fair value and acceptable by the Board, is walking away from the FSP and moving full steam ahead with Saltfleetby as 51 owners still an option for the company? Thanks.

Asked on 24 February 2022

With production at Saltfleetby tantalisingly close and gas prices at an all time high, can you expand on the decision to launch the FSP? Shareholders are concerned that suitors may be able to secure Saltfleetby and/or the company on the cheap – particularly given the volatile international markets caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. What can the Board do to prevent this?

Thanks for the continued updates on twitter. You posted a vdeo of the first pile being driven . One particular disingenuous detractor has suggested you do not have planning permission to do this. Asked on 1 February 2022

Hi, please can you confirm that the board will not accept an offer for the company and/or Saltfleetby, unless they feel it represents fair value for the company and its assets. Thanks.

Asked on 30 January 2022

Hi, does the company stand by the published CPR Saltfleetby figures – which calculate revenues at multiple times of the current company market cap even before the huge rise in gas prices – and can you promise shareholders this will be taken into account in any negotiations for the sale of the company and/or Saltfleetby?

Asked on 30 January 2022

Once Saltfleetby is in production, will the company commit to buying back a significant proportion of shares in issue to reverse any dilution that has occurred as a result of the historical placings?

Asked on 30 January 2022

Most long term shareholders don’t want the company sold because some invested at up to the 20p and would never get their money back. If the assets have no so called value by the markets nobody would want to buy them would they. Please consider this message when acting in the best interest of all shareholders. Thankyou.

Asked on 1 December 2021

What is the latest estimated schedule for drilling the sidetrack?  Thank you.

Asked on 25 November 2021

Civil Works

We havent seen any evidence of civil works starting at SFB. Concrete foundations will be required for the equipment and ISBL pipe work.

Equipment power generator & switchgear was planned to arrive in October, Separators storage tanks & ground flare was planned to arrive this month November, Gas compressor also in November – see 11 August 2021 RNS No. 34411.

Having all the necessary foundation completed will save time. Can you please clarify as to whether the civil works have started? If not, why not? Thank you.

Asked on 25 November 2021

Will Angus be updating the Saltfleeby build and delivery schedule due in November?

Asked on 25 November 2021

Can you clarify how things stand in relation to Balcombe, please.
In your RNS of 02/08/21, you wrote that Angus will be making its appeal to the Planning Inspectorate and is presently preparing its statement of case.
But hasn’t the delay for submitting this appeal now expired?
Thank you.

Asked on 25 November 2021

When will the full remap images of Saltfleetby be available, and would you buy/lease further equipment to enhance production from other areas of the licence. Thankyou.

Asked on 8 November 2021

Since the publication of the CPR yesterday there has been much discussion on the forums about the amount of gas that has been hedged each month. This figures show that the hedged sum is up to almost 5.4mmscfd in November 2022 and because the Jan 2015 July 2017 production averaged 4.7mmscfd it has been claimed that Angus has to drill the sidetrack just to cover the volumes required for the hedge. However, further details in the CPR show that 2022 production is predicted to be 2.8 BCF 7.7mmscfd in 2022 and 3.6 BCF 9.8mmscfd in 2023.

So my questions are:

A What is the predicted output of Saltfleetby without the sidetrack being drilled? Will it be enough to cover the 5.4mmscfd of the hedge in November 2022?

B If the sidetrack is successfully drilled, what would you hope would be the total gas output of Saltfleetby mmscfd in a worst, probable and best case scenario?

C Will it be possible to continue producing gas at Saltfleetby while the sidetrack is being drilled or does all production have to stop during this time period?

Asked on 15 October 2021

Please could you give a clearer timescale when the Lidsey remapping results will be available to shareholders.

Asked on 15 October 2021

The market appears to be extremely cautious on Saltfleetby reconnection plan, hence the undervaluation of the current Share Price.

Can we please have a detailed and transparent plan with dates to First Gas ?

Where is equipment being built and approximately when is each skid coming onto site and what is the remaining work needed to tie in each skid on the site?

Is it true that EA approval is not required until the gas actually flows?

Thank you.

Asked on 15 October 2021

Sirs, this is not a question, rather, a note of congratulation for the speed and determination of your efforts at Saltfleetby. My holding in ANGS, at present, is relatively small. But I am in a position, both financially and mentally, to increase that holding quite substantially, perhaps up to notifiable level. Kindest Regards. Hussein

Asked on 15 October 2021

Asked on 1 October 2021

I have just checked your planning statement on slide 13, It states the sidetrack duration will take up to 16 weeks as mentioned from another poster. Please could you clear this query up once and for all.

Asked on 1 October 2021

Can you give more clarity regarding funding for future geothermal and other projects.

Asked on 29 September 2021

There has been much recent comment on the investment forums about how long the sidetrack would take to drill at Saltfleetby. Certain posters have claimed that they have internal company documents that say this will take 16 weeks. Please can you let me know if this is correct or if you expect it to take a different amount of time?

Also being speculated about is the volume of gas that has been hedged. It has been claimed that you have hedged 70% of 10mmscf/d and therefore the sidetrack has to be completed and everything has to run well for the project to be viable. Please could you confirm if this is correct or if the hedge is for different figures?

Asked on 23 September 2021

Some board posters are saying that a side track done in November would delay First Gas by up to 3 months.  This sounds like nonsense.  Can you comment?

When will we be updated on Lidsey revised interpretation?

Asked on 28 July 2021

Can the company give more clarity on how it expects to fund geothermal projects and/or any drilling plans at Lidsey?

Asked on 28 July 2021

Natural gas hit £1 today, if this continues to increase will we start production early without the sidetrack to take advantage of this?

Asked on 28 July 2021

Saltfleetby reconnection plan.

We should have had well established and firm delivery dates for all equipment at £12 mil loan drawdown a few weeks back and therefore a revised Saltfleetby plan should have been advised to the marketer by now. Is there a reason for the delay and when can we expect this to be announced to the markets? Thank you.

Asked on 21 July 2021

There appears to be anti Angus misinformation posted and suggested as fact in online forums. Although regularly and easily discredited by other posters does the company have any plans to increase it’s profile and information stream to deter this ?

Please can you explain the significance of Aleph Saltfleetby Ltd.

Does the incorporation of this company imply a change to the RNS’d financing terms.

Does incorporation of this company mean that Aleph will take an ownership stake in Saltfleetby?

Asked on 16 April 2021

I have a general question regarding the Q&A board, which I hope may be answered and not dismissed. For openness I have posted this question at the same time on one of the most commonly frequented Angus share forums.

My question as a shareholder is this, does Angus Energy discretionally choose the questions it posts on the Q&A forum?

The criteria stated above for posting is that no subjects are off-limits, however for a question to be answered it must be both sensible and not abusive.

This Q&A site seems remarkably empty, in contrast to the poor sentiment and frustration shown on the forums.

This strikes me as somewhat odd, and so I’d like to know how many Q&A submissions have been made including those which have been chosen not to be published on this Q&A forum over the course of April.

I hope this question may be answered as it reflects point 2 of Angus Energy’s Quoted Company Alliance QCA Code which states Communication to all stakeholders is the direct responsibility of the Senior Management team. Managers work directly with professionals to ensure all inquiries through established channels for this specific purpose ie email, phone are addressed in a timely matter. And that the Company communicates with clarity on its proprietary internet platforms.

Have there been any rises in the executive Board pay in the last two years?

Asked on 15 March 2021

Angus has been negotiating loan documentation for a long time now with resultant delays at SFB. I understand the joint financing effort has an exclusivity period until 5 April. If Angus do not conclude loan documentation by that date will the Angus board seriously consider walking away from the loan negotiations and/or ii imposing a drop-dead date which is communicated to shareholders by which loan documentation must be concluded? At this stage will other forms of financing/HP commitments then be considered?

Balcombe planning permission was unanimously refused by WSSC. Are Angus planning to appeal the decision as the Planning officer had given his approval after a new revised application had been Submitted. Angus has spent a fortune on this site and investors deserved better than this outcome!

Please can you explain how Angus partner, Saltfleetby Energy, are contributing to the loan financing process. Are costs and manpower etc being equally distributed given Saltfleetby Energy stand to equally benefit under the financing?

Asked on 14 February 2021

Can the Board update more regularly on this Loan Financing as the delay is causing frustration?  Has Alephs 90 day exclusivity period as per 30 November RNS been extended? Given the market sensitivity of the Loan, would I be right in thinking that any significant roadblock would have to be disclosed immediately, so can we put this down to the usual documentation drag?

Asked on 14 February 2021

Hi, I have been an Angus investor for the past 3 years or so, and tried to buy some shares in my ISA last Friday afternoon 29th Jan. I am using the IG trading platform and the order was rejected. Same story all this week. Asked the IG help desk and they said that I was not allowed to buy Angus shares because they were too risky. That was not good enough for me, so I asked the IG CEO on LinkedIn, IG on Trustpilot and IG client help on twitter, but none of them have yet answered as to why I cannot buy your shares. I assume you were not aware of this, but if you were or can find out, can I ask you why?

Asked on 14 February 2021

I appreciate that the market for high pressure gas equipment in the UK is dominated by meeting stringent safety requirements and that market prices tend to be set by relatively cost insensitive scale players like the grid, storage and distribution companies (who can charge back to the consumer), still I would like more colour on how the Board evaluated the different options.  Is it also true that in the most liquid market in the world for such capital goods, the US, that prices tend to be 1/3rd to 1/4 of those in Europe?  Given the huge cost disparity, is the Board still evaluating the possibility of importing and recertifying at least some equipment to European standards?

Does Angus have a Plan B in case the SFB loan financing does not close as anticipated?

Asked on 27 January 2021

Why did you not offer this placing offer to all shareholders?

Asked on 27 January 2021

Does Angus anticipate further placings before First Gas, permit for reservoir support at Brockham and the well test at Balcombe?  What kind of monthly income are we looking at if all these go to plan?

Asked on 27 January 2021

Given the Staltfleetby reserves valuation report is based on pence/th prices of between 32 and 42 pence, whereas the Feb 21 Nat Gas futures contract has just hit 82 pence/th, presumably this will have a significant impact on SFB profitability assuming prices continue to trade in a similar range. Given this development, is there anything Angus can do in order to lock in forward sales at these prices using futures or the like?

Hello,

Within the RNS on the 20th of October regarding the Balcombe extended well test, it was stated that the recommendation from the planning officer must be made within 14 weeks on a decision for or against the application.

Has this recommendation been received?

In the event of a recommendation against, what are the company’s next steps?

Thank you.

Asked on 16 December 2020

Recent Angus’ news announcements have stressed an increasing focus on geothermal programmes and hydrogen/carbon capture solutions. Whilst these seem interesting given the current ESG environment, it is less clear how the economics of these projects would work and how remunerative they’d be versus traditional hydrocarbons. At an appropriate time please can Angus provide some more detail on these and also whether, asides Saltfleetby, any of Angus’ other sites would be suitable for these types of projects.

Asked on 16 December 2020

On the investor conference call you mentioned that long lead items can take up to 24 weeks to arrive. By my calculations this means that they will not arrive until the end of March and therefore we are unlikely to produce first gas in Q1.

Can you let me know if I am correct of if I have misunderstood and also can you elaborate on the lead-time for all of the different items that Saltfleetby will require.

Asked on 30 September 2020

The amount of debt raised is very significant versus the original £2.5m paid to Angus which was originally intended to be used to get Saltfleetby back on line. The RNS provides some detail here and its appreciated that cash has been set aside for decommissioning, but can Angus explain why £1.6m is required for site prep, planning and contingencies this seems to duplicate in part the working capital contingency fund placement and why processing facility costs are now £5.7m?

Asked on 30 September 2020

To the extent you are able to do so, please can you elaborate as to the level of market discussions you have had to date on the debt placing and why Angus is confident of raising a substantial amount of debt in the current market environment. What alternatives exist to the debt financing?

Further to the RNS dated 23 September 2020 entitled Proposed Placing and Proposed Debt Financing, please can you confirm whether Saltfleetby Energy are contributing an equal £900,000 to the working capital contingency fund i.e. are the partners being treated pari passu given they have joint and several liability?

Asked on 30 September 2020

I have just listened to the investor conference call and have a couple of follow up questions:
1. You mentioned that you initially had an international bank that was looking at lending at 9 but that because the £12 million was too small for them then the coupon price may now be higher. How much higher are you targeting?

2. Again with regard to the debt what form of repayment schedule are you ideally looking for ie what do you envision the term of the debt as being.

Asked on 30 September 2020

Can Angus please indicate an anticipated timeframe for closing the Saltfleetby financing facility.

Asked on 20 July 2020

In your interview with Malcolm Graham-Wood you mentioned that you have not received planning permission for the pipeline even though you have permission for putting the site together already. Should we be worried that you may not get planning for the pipeline or would this be highly unlikely since the relevant authorities already know what you plan to do and have given permission for the other half of the development?

Saltfleetby is not an area of outstanding natural beauty where something like this may cause problems is it?

Asked on 20 July 2020

You mentioned in a recent interview that prolonged gas prices of 15 pence per therm would, if representative of global gas prices, leave all the Majors (Exxon, BP, Shell, Total etc) “bust” and only a few sovereign producers solvent.  Board posters continue to mislead investors implying that it is reasonable to forecast on the basis of these exceptionally low prices and that the Majors are somehow insulated from these prices by huge cash surpluses?

Have you anything to say about the concerted effort by some posters on the LSE [London South East] boards to destabilise the company and do you have any intention to take action about it?

There are certain posters [names redacted by editor] who appear to be working together to belittle Angus Energy and everyone working at the company from the board of directors to the most junior staff members. They claim to have extensive oil-field and financial experience and were both big rampers for Angus Energy back in 2017 and were encouraging others (myself included) to invest in the company when the price was over 30p and then again in late 2018 when it was over 10p.

They claim that they have started an action group that is intending to sue Angus to recover money that any investors have lost and that their legal action is funded by a third party who will indemnify them so it will not cost them a penny.

To me, this feels like a deliberate aim to destabilise the company and drive the share price down just like they were trying to drive it up in 2017/18. Do you know anything about this legal action that they claim is being taken against the company and are you aware if they have the oilfield and financial experience that they claim?

Please explain.

Angus reviews the company’s activities, from Saltfleetby to the A24 Prospect in its annual report.  Could you expand on the last excerpt from your annual report under the heading “Strategy and Sustainability” reprinted below

Generally speaking, the Directors’ objective is to create long term value for shareholders by building the Group into a profitable onshore oil and gas production company with a reputation for technical excellence but with great cost discipline. The Director’s will continue to focus on the UK onshore but do not rule out acquisitions overseas in jurisdictions where the rule of law is strong. We have closely reviewed over ten such acquisitions and have bid on three this year and bought one.

Given that obtaining planning permission for your Balcombe project may not be as straight forward as you’d hoped, I just wondered what your confidence levels are on obtaining all the necessary planning permissions you mentioned 2 in a recent interview for Saltfleetby without any issues?
I think most investors see Saltfleetby as a potentially very exciting project but after the recent objections from the Planning Officer at Balcombe there may be concerns that something similar may occur at Saltfleetby.

If your estimates for Saltfleetby do not include further sidetracks, and assuming drilling success, what further upside could there realistically be versus the 10/18 BCF figures already quoted i.e. are we looking at smallish incremental upside or potentially sufficient upside to be a company maker in its own right?

The OGA placed limits on both oil and gas during the Brockham EWT which equated to 301 barrels per day and a gas rate of 5.664 TCMD. Can you give the figure imposed on the Balcombe EWT if known yet?

Asked on 30 January 2020

Your previous explanation of the gas to wire at both Brockham and the forthcoming Balcombe operations seem at odds. You state in a previous Q&A answer you look to Horse Hill for not requiring gas to wire there. However, Horse Hill was a 90-day test and you are requesting a three-year EWT. Given it was a requirement at Brockham and also a detailed explanation by Jonathon Tidswell at an investor conference last year citing a very long lead time to connect to gas to wire can you confirm that the OGA does not require it as this is a 3 year test?

Asked on 30 January 2020

In your explanation regarding Gas to wire at Brockham, you revealed that you had only just started a trench. Given that JTP stated it could take a year minimum to connect to the grid is it fair to say there would have been a considerable delay should the well have been successful and we should expect the same at Balcombe if the OGA do require gas to wire?

Asked on 30 January 2020

In Your Salfleetby presentation, you state that water disposal cost is £48 per Barrel. As there is no suitable disposal site in the south of England, your comments in the annual accounts and your drill or drop interview and no injector well available, can you confirm any water cut at Balcolmbe, or the now 40 water cut at Lidsey according to the OGA website, would cost the same or more to dispose of?

Asked on 30 January 2020

You are on record criticising Paul Vonk for taking a convertible loan note out at a poor time for the company. You have recently been taken exactly the same type of cash injection with the explanation it makes the company Best in class This seems very much at odds with the previous viewpoint. Could you advise whether the OGA they insisted that such provisions are put in place?

Asked on 30 January 2020

You have assigned funds for the new exciting new prospect, as Mr Vonk described it, at Lidsey. Was this not first discovered in 1987 and actually falls outside your licence area? Please could you indicate a cost, timescale and the associated difficulties in accessing this prospect given the area has been relinquished back to the OGA.

Could you please explain where this figure has come from? The OGA Official figures for Saltfleetby are as follows and are in mmscf/d (taken as averages for each month) Jan 4.55 Feb 5.08 March 4.39 April 3.46 May 4.86 June 1.53 July 2.97 Aug 0.56 Sep 0.00 Oct 0.00 Nov 1.19 Dec 0.44 – giving an average daily production across the year of 2.5 mmscf/d. on what basis are you targeting such a conservative flow rate 300bpd from this well?

Asked on 19 November 2019

Balcombe well: Viewing the application to WSCC, I note that Angus intends to pump out previously used drilling fluids for a period of up to 4 weeks stage 1 and then, if there is free flowing oil, carry out an EWT for commercial viability stage 2. My questions are:
1. What would be the minimum bod required to deem Balcombe commercially viable?
2. If oil were to free flow after stage 1, would any type of flow measurement be made and compared with this minimum bod, in order to decide whether to proceed with stage 2 or not?
3. If stage 2 verified that this minimum bod could be persistently exceeded, would an application be made to WSCC for a production licence?
4. Assuming a successful stage 2, would Angus consider increasing their stake in Balcombe?

Asked on 17 October 2019

The Gas to wire generator was on the original Brockham site layout for equipment, but was then subsequently removed. How could you test / flare without it?  The associated connection to the National Grid for the distribution of excess power generated on-site was an OGA prerequisite as confirmed in an Angus RNS dated 23 October 2017.  Can you confirm that the electrical hook up to the National Grid at Brockham was actually 1. started and 2. completed and 3. if it wasn’t carried out then please state the reason why?

Asked on 17 October 2019

Can you explain what is the actual reason for not being allowed to inject water at Brockham?

It is my understanding that you still haven’t carried out CBL wireline logging runs on each well at Brockham to appease the OGA, EA to enable Lidsey produced water to be reinjected at Brockham?

It should have been done as soon as Angus took over the Field, yet it wasn’t carried out.

A simple case of confirming well integrity  – i.e.no leaks in the casing / cement behind casing across the aquifers would enable water reinjection to be restarted at a deeper depth.

You have had so many opportunities to do it with the HG Wells logging truck being at Brockham Nov / Dec 2018 and Jan / Apr 2019.

When Horse Hill was first discovered as the Gatwick gusher it was said that to get it to flow took a bit of persuasion.  When Angus took over Brockham it was hailed as a carbon copy and maybe even better with a thicker oil bearing layer.  Why didn’t you attempt to coax out the oil as UKOG did at Horse Hill and whose decision was it to abandon trying?

There has been a lot of shareholder debate as to the events leading up to a declaration that the Brockham Kimmeridge is unlikely to be commercial, in particular certain investors seem to think that Angus knew for sometime that the well was unlikely to flow and, therefore, there was never an intention to conduct an EWT. To put these rumours to bed, will ANGS be able to provide a more detailed written synopsis as to the events leading up to the declaration, commencing from December 2018?

The RNS issued 1 October acknowledges that certain shareholders and/or historic investors are considering taking action against Angus Energy. Can Angus Energy confirm they will take all available legal steps to robustly defend against any future action if any and will not pander to any hopes of a quick win out of court settlement. To the extent persons continue to post blatantly untrue accusations on bulletin boards or other forms of social media etc, will Angus consider defamatory actions if they consider these appropriate to protect the reputation and goodwill of the company?
